On My High Horse: Fine. China. Copyright 2003 by David Steinlicht I'm so grateful for the law that says products have to be labled with their country of origin. It's a challenge to find things that aren't made in China. Sure, most of our food is made in the U.S. -- beyond that? What? Cars? Guns? Hunting for the inevitable words is kinda fun. Gotta be here somewhere. Usually they are tiny, huddled with the fine print ... or banished to the remote underside. Some companies try to soften the blow. Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China. But, one product surprised me with a new approach. A sink stopper. The country of origin as logo: Big, proud, front and center. Hiding in plain sight. End
