Microsoft makes the X-Box game system, Ultimate TV system, computer keyboards and computer mice. They make some software, too.

Anyway, in 1999 Microsoft marketed an optical mouse. Instead of tracking movement with the commonly used at the time weighted ball...

...it used a futuristic laser! It was cool and the ouse's design brags about the coolness with a little window on the back to show actual laser light!

When the computer is on, the butt on the mouse glows. Neat.

It's been five years since Microsoft came out with that design. So, by now a couple of cheap knock-offs have surfaced.

One cheap knock-off, the KeyMouse, takes cheap knock-offs to a new height. Same look, same glowing red butt.

But, flip it and you note the glow is not from a laser, but from a little light bulb ... it's a ball-mouse with a red light!

So, buy this mouse and get an optical-mouse look, with ball-mouse frustration and inefficiency!
