Well, this comic is called ''On My High Horse,'' so what can you expect? Okay. There's this metallic sound of woices in country-western songs, what with that? I think I first heard the effect in a Madonna song. It's very robotic. Kinda buzzy. It sounds to me like a voice played through a wax-paper-wrapped comb. The effect is used when voices sing really high. . . . . .makes me think the effect is used to correct out-of-tune singing. Whenever I hear that buzz-singing I think, ''Another pop star who can't hit the notes.'' End
